Mandatory Elevator Inventory: What it is and What it Means for You

This new process involves an initial, comprehensive recording of all elevators and is mandatory for everyone, regardless of their current certification status. The declaration can be submitted by the owner, the manager, a tenant, or the maintenance technician in charge.

Importantly, to facilitate the process, previous fines for non-registration are suspended throughout the entire inventory period. The goal is to collect data so that, in a second phase, the Ministry can determine the timeline for the modernization of installations that require it.

Deadlines and Official Elevator Inventory Platform

 
• Deadline: The platform for submitting declarations will be active from early July 2025 until November 30, 2025.

 

• Official Platform: Registration will be carried out exclusively at the web address: https://elevator.mindev.gov.gr

 

• Access to the platform will be gained using personal Taxisnet / gov.gr credentials.

What Information is Required for Registration in the Elevator Inventory Registry?

The inventory process requires the completion of 7 basic fields:

 
• Address / Installation location.

 

• Number of elevators in the building.

 

• Year of elevator installation.

 

• Number of stops.

 

• Presence of CE marking (Yes/No).

 

• Presence of active or past certification and the date of issue.

 

• Details of the Obligated Party / Maintainer (retrieved automatically upon login).
